We understand the urgency of product requirement for Oil & Gas Industry & industrial breakdowns at various situations attenuating the project performance.
Steel Sales Co. belongs among the top-tier producers of metal and alloy products, such as the titanium grade 5 fasteners, and has been engaged in proficiently exporting them as well. With our factories equipped with the best-in-class modern machinery, we fabricate products that not only excel in terms of their quality but are also available at an affordable rate. Packaging and handling of the products post-production are undertaken with care by our skilled workers, with every step as per the norms and guidelines.
Accounting for almost 50% of the titanium grade used across the world, the titanium grade 5 fasteners are one of the most commonly utilized grade alloys among titanium alloys. Also known as Ti 6Al-4V, the titanium grade 5 is an alpha-beta alloy with the presence of beta stabilizers such as aluminum and vanadium present among the primary elements. The other name of the fasteners denotes the percentage of aluminum and vanadium, that is, 6% and 4% respectively. The addition of these two stabilizers grants the alloy with higher strength against elevated temperature and also plays a role in reducing the density of the fastener, while vanadium uplifts the properties already present and stabilizes the grade as a whole. Other elements incorporated in the titanium alloy are as follows; iron, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen.
The superiority of the titanium grade 5 fasteners compared to the other grades is in the strength it exhibits, while also exhibiting a lower density, making it both lightweight and strong. The grade 5 titanium alloy is capable of withstanding extreme mechanical strain while retaining its strength without affecting its characteristics of being lightweight. The key factor, however, is its non-toxic nature, which allows it to be used in applications involving food and medical equipment. The stability it manifests plays an important role in making it a safer metal alloy product. The efficacy of the fasteners in food applications is also due to the fact that they are remarkably resistant against a long list of corrosive liquids and gases. They are especially resistant against chloride ions in any form and against sea water, resisting both pitted and crevice corrosion.
Considering the prominence of the titanium grade 5 fasteners, they are widely used in several industries, in various operations. Some of the applications include sports equipment, aerospace engineering, medical applications, food processing, automobile industry, etc.
We conduct a number of tests on every product we manufacture in our highly developed manufacturing units and these tests are conducted regularly with inspections being organised on a periodic basis.
